शमीवृक्षस्थायुधप्रकाशनम् / Revelation and Identification of the Weapons on the Śamī Tree
दुर्योधनस्तथा वीरो राजा च रथिनां वर: । द्युतिमन्तो महेष्वासा: सर्वे युद्धविशारदा:,जहाँ द्रोण, भीष्म, कृप, कर्ण, विविंशति, अश्व॒त्थामा, विकर्ण, सोमदत्त, बाह्लिक तथा रथियोंमें श्रेष्ठ वीर राजा दुर्योधन हैं। जो सबके सब तेजस्वी, महान् धनुर्धर और युद्धकी कलामें प्रवीण हैं

duryodhanas tathā vīro rājā ca rathināṃ varaḥ |
dyutimanto maheṣvāsāḥ sarve yuddhaviśāradāḥ ||
ウッタラは言った。「あそこにいるのは勇将ドゥルヨーダナ王、戦車武者の中でも第一の者。彼らは皆、光り輝く大弓の射手であり、各々が戦の術に通じ、老練である。」物語の中でウッタラは、カウラヴァの勇士たちの名声と武の卓越に圧倒され、迫る遭遇の前に、その恐れと畏敬が判断を支配してしまう。
