The verse highlights dharmic resilience: in hardship the Pāṇḍavas choose disciplined living and ‘uttama tapas’—self-restraint and spiritual effort—supported by the guidance and presence of brāhmaṇas, suggesting that ethical strength is sustained through right company and inner discipline.
Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates that the Pāṇḍavas travel onward with brāhmaṇas, arrive at a certain place, settle there, and begin practicing intense austerities as part of their forest-exile life.
