वैशग्पायन उवाच
The verse teaches that certain sacred contexts—especially a properly sanctified place of worship and sacrifice—magnify and preserve the merit of righteous actions; ethical deeds done there are said to yield an ‘akṣaya’ (inexhaustible) result.
Vaiśaṃpāyana, narrating the events of the Vana Parva, identifies a particular sacrificial ground as ‘imperishable’ and emphasizes its special potency: acts of worship and virtuous conduct performed there produce enduring spiritual reward.
