The verse teaches that visiting revered tīrthas and performing prescribed acts like bathing (snāna) is a dharmic discipline believed to yield tangible and intangible fruits; here, prosperity (abundant gold) is presented as the stated reward, reinforcing faith in sacred observance and pilgrimage.
Pulastya continues describing a sequence of pilgrimage sites: he directs the listener to go next to Śūrpāraka, associated with Paraśurāma, and states that bathing at the local Rāma-tīrtha grants the pilgrim abundant gold.
