निशाकाले स्मरंस्तस्या: शलोकमेकं सम गायति । स विश्रमन् महीं सर्वा क्वचिदासाद्य किंचन
niśākāle smaraṁs tasyāḥ ślokam ekaṁ saṁ gāyati | sa viśraman mahīṁ sarvāṁ kvacid āsādya kiṁcana ||
夜になると彼は彼女を思い、彼女のことを詠んだただ一つの詩句をそっと口ずさんだ。大地の隅々をさまよい歩き、ときに休める場所に行き当たっても—心はなお、恋慕と追憶のうちに彼女へと縛られていた。
