वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights Yudhiṣṭhira’s dharmic temperament—truth-steadfast leadership expressed through calm, respectful command. Even in difficulty, he speaks gently (saumya) and focuses on meeting an immediate ethical need (securing water), modeling disciplined conduct and responsibility.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that Yudhiṣṭhira instructs Nakula to go quickly and bring drinking water, using quivers as containers. It is a practical directive within the forest narrative, showing the Pāṇḍavas managing necessities during their hardships.
