दत्तरक्षाप्रतिसरामन्वालम्भनशो भनाम्‌ । ऊर्मीतरज्जैर्जाह्विव्या: समानीतामुपह्दरम्‌,पिटारीके ऊपर उसकी रक्षाके लिये लता लपेट दी गयी थी और सिन्दूरका लेप लगा होनेसे उसकी बड़ी शोभा हो रही थी। गंगाकी तरंगोंके थपेड़े खाकर वह पिटारी तटके समीप आ लगी

Transliteration

dattarakṣāpratisarām anvālambhanaśobhanām | ūrmītarajjair jāhnavyāḥ samānītām upahradam ||

Translation

ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「その箱は守りの結び目で固く縛られ、封の結びと飾りによっていよいよ美しく見えた。ジャーフナヴィー（ガンガー）の流れがそれを押し流し、波が縄のように打ち引きして、ついに岸辺の水際近くへと運び寄せた。」
