चक्षुषी च स्वराज्यं च द्वौ वरौ श्वशुरस्य मे । लब्धं पितु: पुत्रशतं पुत्राणां चात्मन: शतम्,नेत्र तथा अपने राज्यकी प्राप्ति--ये दो वर मेरे श्वशुरके लिये प्राप्त हुए हैं। इसके सिवा मैंने अपने पिताके लिये सौ पुत्र तथा अपने लिये भी सौ पुत्र होनेके दो वर और पाये हैं
cakṣuṣī ca svarājyaṃ ca dvau varau śvaśurasya me | labdhaṃ pituḥ putraśataṃ putrāṇāṃ cātmanaḥ śatam ||
ゴータマは言った。「わが舅のために二つの恩寵が成就した――視力の回復と、自らの王権の奪還である。さらに私はもう二つの恩寵を得た。わが父に百人の息子の福が授けられること、そしてこの私にも百人の息子が授けられることだ。」
गौतम उवाच
The verse highlights dharma expressed through gratitude and familial responsibility: blessings are sought not merely for oneself but to restore elders (father-in-law’s sight and kingship) and to secure continuity of the family line (hundred sons for father and for oneself).
Gautama reports the boons that have been obtained: two for his father-in-law (vision and regained sovereignty) and two concerning progeny—one granting his father a hundred sons and another granting himself a hundred sons.
