अध्याय ३० — क्रोधदोषाः क्षमाप्रशंसा च

Defects of Anger and the Praise of Forbearance

इस प्रकार श्रीमह्या भारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत अजुनाभिगमनपर्वमें द्रौपदी- युधिष्ठिरसंवादविषयक उनतीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,यथा वायोस्तृणाग्राणि वशं यान्ति बलीयस: । धातुरेवं वशं यान्ति सर्वभूतानि भारत भारत! जैसे क्षुद्र तिनके बलवान्‌ वायुके वशमें हो उड़ते-फिरते हैं, उसी प्रकार समस्त प्राणी ईश्वरके अधीन हो आवागमन करते हैं

yathā vāyos tṛṇāgrāṇi vaśaṁ yānti balīyasaḥ | dhātur evaṁ vaśaṁ yānti sarvabhūtāni bhārata ||

ユディシュティラは言った。「か細い草の葉が強大な風の力に抗えず運ばれるように、バーラタよ、あらゆる生きとし生けるものは至上主の統べ治めのもとに往来し、また帰ってゆく。この理を悟る者は、驕りと非難を和らげ、運命の転変のただ中にあっても、ダルマへの揺るがぬ心、謙虚さ、そして信頼を養うべきである。」
