धातुरादेशमन्वेति तन्मयो हि तदर्पण: । नात्माधीनो मनुष्यो5यं कालं भजति कंचन

Transliteration

dhātur ādeśam anveti tan-mayo hi tad-arpaṇaḥ | nātmādhīno manuṣyo 'yaṃ kālaṃ bhajati kaṃcana ||

Translation

ユディシュティラは言った。「人は創造主の定めに従う。まさにその配剤によって形づくられ、あたかもそこへ捧げ入れられるがゆえである。この人間は己が身の主ではない。いかなるものをもたらそうとも、時（カーラ）に従わねばならぬ。」
