करभारुणपाण्डूनां हरीणां युद्धशालिनाम् । कोटीशतसहस््रेण लड़कामभ्यपपत् तदा,तत्पश्चात् उन्होंने हथेलीके समान श्वेत और लाल रंगके युद्धकुशल वानरोंकी दस खरब सेनाके साथ लंकामें प्रवेश किया
karabhāruṇa-pāṇḍūnāṃ harīṇāṃ yuddha-śālinām | koṭi-śata-sahasreṇa laṅkām abhyapatat tadā ||
マールカンデーヤは語った。「ついで彼は、戦に巧みな猿たちの大軍を率いてランカーへ進んだ。淡い色の者もいれば、赤褐色の者もおり、その数は幾十万コーティにも及んだ。」
