सागरक्रमणे मन्त्र मन्त्रयाम: परंतप । परंतप! उसकी यह बात सुनकर हमलोग तुरंत उठे और समुद्र पार करनेके विषयमें परस्पर सलाह करने लगे
sāgarakramaṇe mantra mantra-yāmaḥ parantapa | parantapa! asyāḥ kathāyāḥ śrutvā vayam-āśu utthāya samudra-pāra-karaṇe viṣaye parasparaṃ mantrayituṃ pravṛttāḥ |
マールカンデーヤは言った。「おお、敵を焼き尽くす者（パランタパ）よ、われらは海を渡る方策について策をめぐらせた。パランタパよ、彼女の言葉を聞くや、われらはただちに立ち上がり、いかにして大海を越えるべきか互いに論じ始めた。」
