ः है पर 524 / ४. हतेषु तेषु रक्ष:सु ततः शूर्पणखा पुनः । ययौ निकृत्तनासोष्ठी लड़कां भ्रातुर्निविशनम्,उन राक्षसोंके मारे जानेपर शूर्पणखा, जिसकी नाक और ओंठ काट लिये गये थे, पुनः लंकामें अपने भाई रावणके घर गयी
Hateṣu teṣu rakṣaḥsu tataḥ Śūrpaṇakhā punaḥ | yayau nikṛtta-nāsauṣṭhī Laṅkāṁ bhrātur niviśanam ||
その羅刹たちが討たれると、鼻と唇を切り落とされたシュールパナカーは、再びランカーへ赴き、兄の住まいへと向かった。
(श्रीरम उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical chain of cause and effect: harmful intent and transgressive desire invite severe consequences, and personal grievance—if carried to powerful allies—can intensify into broader violence. It cautions against letting injury become a motive for further adharma.
After the rākṣasas are killed, Śūrpaṇakhā—mutilated with her nose and lips cut—returns to Laṅkā and goes to her brother Rāvaṇa’s residence, setting the stage for further retaliation and escalation.
