वैशग्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic conduct in distress: Draupadī responds with reverence (praṇāma), joy at divine support, and truthful communication. It frames devotion and humility as appropriate ethical responses when facing a situation involving a powerful guest and the obligations of hospitality.
Draupadī sees Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa), bows to him with great happiness, and reports the situation—specifically the arrival of the sage (in context, Durvāsā) and the related events—seeking guidance and protection amid the impending challenge of receiving the sage properly.
