भ्रातृणां च प्रियं राजन् स चकार परंतप: । निश्चित्य मनसा वीरो दत्तभुक्तफलं धनम्
bhrātṝṇāṃ ca priyaṃ rājan sa cakāra paraṃtapaḥ | niścitya manasā vīro dattabhukta-phalaṃ dhanam ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「王よ、あの勇士、敵を焼き払う者は、兄弟たちの望むことをなすと心に固く定めた。ゆえに彼は財を分かち、施しとしても正当な取り分としてもその果を受けられるようにし—寛大さと公正な配分の双方を成就させた。」
