इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत वनपर्वके अन्तर्गत घोषयात्रापर्वमें दुर्योधनप्रायोपवेशनविषयक दो सौ इक्यावनवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
iti prakāraṁ śrīmahābhārate vanaparvake antargata ghoṣayātrāparvaṇi duryodhana-prāyopaveśana-viṣayakaḥ dviśata-eka-pañcāśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ pūrṇaḥ
かくして、聖なる『マハーバーラタ』の「森の巻（ヴァナ・パルヴァ）」に収められた「ゴーシャヤートラー章」中、ドゥルヨーダナがプラーヨーパヴェーシャ（死に至る断食）を決意する件を述べる第二百五十一章は終わった。ここに添えられた結語は道義の危機を告げる――驕りと屈辱が自滅の決意へと硬化するとき、忠告とダルマこそが王たる資格と人格を裁く決定的な試練となる。
