तान् दृष्टवा पततः शीघ्रान् गन्धर्वनिद्यतायुधान्
tān dṛṣṭvā patataḥ śīghrān gandharva-nidyatāyudhān
彼らがたちまち駆け下りて来るのを見た—ガンダルヴァの間で名高く賞賛される武器を携えて—ヴァイシャンパーヤナはこの瞬間を、突如として立ち上がる恐るべき激化として描く。武の技と武器の名声が、見守る者に勇気と自制をもって応じよと迫る、即時の道義的圧力となったのである。
