Bhīṣma’s Admonition; Duryodhana’s Rājasūya Aspiration and the Proposal of a Vaiṣṇava-satra
रमणीये समाज्ञाते सोदके समहीरुहे । देशे सर्वगुणोपेते चक्कुरावसथान् परा:,उसके साथ गये हुए लोगोंने भी उस सर्वगुणसम्पन्न, रमणीय, सुपरिचित, सजल तथा सघन वृक्षावलियोंसे युक्त प्रदेशमें अपने डेरे डाल दिये
ramaṇīye samājñāte sodake samahīruhe | deśe sarvaguṇopete cakrur āvasathān parāḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。水に恵まれ、樹木が鬱蒼とし、あらゆる便に富む、心地よく人々に知られたその地で、同行の者たちもまたそれぞれ陣を張った。この叙述は、ダルマにかなう慎重な住処の選定を示す。すなわち、生命を養い、客人と従者を支え、流離の身であっても秩序ある振る舞いを可能にする場所を選ぶのである。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Even in hardship, dharma expresses itself through practical wisdom: choosing a life-sustaining, resource-rich place supports self-control, care for companions, and readiness to receive guests—key ethical duties in forest-exile.
After reaching a pleasant and familiar area abundant in water and trees, the accompanying group establishes their temporary dwellings there, forming an organized encampment.
