स्कन्दोपाख्यानम् — उत्पातशान्तिः, स्वाहारूपविचारः, कौमारमङ्गलक्रियाः
व्याध उवाच प्रत्यक्ष मम यो धर्मस्तं च पश्य द्विजोत्तम । येन सिद्धिरियं प्राप्ता मया ब्राह्मणपुड़व,धर्मव्याधने कहा--विप्रवर! अब मेरा जो प्रत्यक्ष धर्म है, जिसके प्रभावसे मुझे यह सिद्धि प्राप्त हुई है, ब्राह्मणश्रेष्ठट उसका भी दर्शन कर लीजिये
vyādha uvāca | pratyakṣaṁ mama yo dharmas taṁ ca paśya dvijottama | yena siddhir iyaṁ prāptā mayā brāhmaṇapuṅgava ||
狩人は言った。「おお、両生の最勝者よ。ここに現に行われ、目に見えて示される我がダルマを見よ。この正しき行いの道によってこそ、婆羅門の中の第一人者よ、わたしはこの霊的成就を得たのだ。」
व्याध उवाच
Dharma is not merely a theory or a birth-based claim; it is something to be seen in lived conduct. The hunter points to a practical, visible ethic—faithful performance of one’s rightful duties—as the cause of genuine spiritual attainment (siddhi).
Dharmavyādha addresses a Brahmin seeker and invites him to observe the hunter’s own day-to-day dharma. He explains that his spiritual success has come from this practical righteousness, setting up an example-based instruction rather than abstract preaching.
