आहारेणाथ भक्ष्यैश्न भोज्यै: सुमधुरैस्तथा । उच्छिष्ट भाविता भर्तुर्भुड्धक्ते नित्यं युधिष्ठिर

Transliteration

āhāreṇātha bhakṣyaiś ca bhojyaiḥ sumadhurais tathā | ucchiṣṭa-bhāvitā bhartur bhṛtya-bhakte nityaṁ yudhiṣṭhira ||

Translation

マールカンデーヤは言った。「かくして、ユディシュティラよ、彼女は甘美な菓子や調理された料理によって常に身を養っていたが、それらはすべて夫が食した後の残り物にすぎなかった。彼女は日々そのように生き、主君たる夫に捧げ、夫の残余を自らの分として受け入れた。」
