धुन्धुमार इति ख्यातो नाम्नाप्रतिरथो5भवत् | उस समय महामना राजा कुवलाश्व धुन्धुको मारनेके कारण “धुन्धुमार” नामसे विख्यात हो गये। उनका सामना करनेवाला वीर कोई नहीं रह गया था
Dhundhumāra iti khyāto nāmnāpratiratho 'bhavat |
マールカンデーヤは語った。「ドゥンドゥを討ったゆえに、広き心をもつクヴァラーシュヴァ王は『ドゥンドゥマーラ』の名で世に知られた。彼は比類なき武人となり、もはや誰ひとりとしてその前に立ち向かえる者はいなかった。」
