कृतयुगवर्णनम् तथा राजधर्मोपदेशः

यर्थर्तुवर्षी भगवान् न तथा पाकशासन: । न चापि सर्वबीजानि सम्यगू रोहन्ति भारत,भगवान् इन्द्र भी ठीक वर्षाऋतुके समय जलकी वर्षा नहीं करेंगे। भारत! भूमिमें बोये हुए सभी बीज ठीकसे नहीं जमेंगे
yathā ṛtuvarṣī bhagavān na tathā pākaśāsanaḥ | na cāpi sarvabījāni samyag urohanti bhārata ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「福徳ある主が季節にかなって雨を降らせるように、パーカシャーサナ（インドラ）もまたその秩序に従って行うべきである。もし彼が時宜にかなって水を注がぬなら、ああバーラタよ、大地に播かれた種子でさえ正しく芽吹かぬであろう。」
