Educational Q&A

The verse highlights disciplined humility before the sacred: true recognition of divine power leads not to fear or pride but to reverent approach (yatna) and respectful conduct (vinīta-bhāva, añjali), acknowledging the divinity as the inner Self of all beings.

The narrator (speaking as Vaiśampāyana) describes witnessing an extraordinarily radiant, childlike divine manifestation. He then approaches carefully and, with folded hands, receives darśana of the lotus-eyed deity identified as the Self of all creatures.
