Kṛtayuga Description and Instruction on Royal Dharma
satatam dhāvamānaś cintayāno viśāmpate | bhramaṁs tatra mahīpāla yadā varṣagaṇān bahūn | āsādayāmi naivāntaṁ tasya rājan mahātmanaḥ |
Human effort and prolonged searching may still fail before what is vast or transcendent; when one reaches the limits of one’s capacity, the text highlights disciplined refuge in the divine—integrating mind, speech, and action—as an ethically complete response.
The speaker describes ceaseless wandering and anxious searching over many years, unable to find the ‘end’ or final limit of a great being; recognizing this impasse, he turns with proper observance to a boon-giving, venerable deity, seeking guidance and resolution.
