प्रावृट्-शरत्-वर्णनम् — Description of the Monsoon and Autumn; Sarasvatī in the Pāṇḍavas’ Exile
अतकिक्रान्तास्तु वेगेन जगामानुसूत: शनै: ततो5मरवरप्रख्यो भीमसेनो महाबल:
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: atikrāntās tu vegena jagāma anusūtaḥ śanaiḥ; tato ’maravaraprakhyo bhīmaseno mahābalaḥ.
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。蛇たちは恐怖に追い立てられて限界を越え、疾風のごとく逃げ去った。ビーマセーナはゆるやかでありながら揺るがぬ歩みで、その後を追った。やがて、神々の中の最勝者のように輝く大力のビーマセーナはさらに進み、見る者の毛を逆立てるほどの巨大な大蛇（ピュトーン）を目にした。近づき難い山の険所に住み、その巨体で広大な洞窟を巻き囲んでいた。
