Display of Divine Weapons and Its Prohibition
ततः पर्यपतन्नुग्रा निवातकवचा मयि । तानहं विवरं दृष्टवा प्राहिण्यं यमसादनम्,तब भयानक निवातकवच चारों ओरसे मेरे ऊपर टूट पड़े। उस समय मैंने अवसर देख- देखकर उन सबको यमलोक भेज दिया
tataḥ paryapatann ugrā nivātakavacā mayi | tān ahaṁ vivaraṁ dṛṣṭvā prāhiṇyaṁ yamasādanam ||
すると、猛きニヴァータカヴァチャの戦士たちが四方から我に襲いかかった。しかるべき瞬間に隙を見て、我は彼らを打ち倒し、ヤマの住処へと送り返した。戦場では、時機を見極める冴えこそが、襲い来る者の運命を定めるのである。
अजुन उवाच
In a righteous battle, courage must be guided by discernment: recognizing the right moment (vivara) and acting decisively against aggressors is presented as proper kshatriya conduct.
Arjuna describes being surrounded and attacked by the fierce Nivātakavaca warriors; he notices a tactical opening and defeats them, figuratively ‘sending them to Yama’s abode’ (i.e., killing them in combat).
