Hiraṇyapura Described and the Deployment of the Raudra Weapon
ततो वेगेन महता दानवा मामुपाद्रवन् । विमुज्चन्त: शितान् बाणान् शतशो5थ सहस्रश:,तत्पश्चात् उन सब दानवोंने सैकड़ों और हजारों तीखे बाणोंकी वर्षा करते हुए बड़े वेगसे मुझपर आक्रमण किया
tato vegena mahatā dānavā mām upādravan | vimucyantaḥ śitān bāṇān śataśo 'tha sahasraśaḥ ||
それからダーナヴァたちは凄まじい勢いで私に襲いかかり、鋭い矢を—百本、千本と—雨のように放って攻め立てた。この場面は、戦士が試されるのは力のみならず、圧倒的な集団の猛攻に臨んでなお心を揺るがせぬ沈着と決意であることを示している。
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical demand of steadfastness under pressure: when confronted by overwhelming hostility, a righteous warrior is measured by composure, endurance, and unwavering resolve rather than panic or retaliation driven by fear.
Arjuna reports that the Dānavas suddenly rush him with great speed and begin a massive volley of sharp arrows, attacking in huge numbers (hundreds and thousands), intensifying the battle situation.
