इन्द्रस्य पाण्डवैः समागमः
Indra’s Meeting with the Pāṇḍavas
मानुषेण कृतं कर्म विधत्स्व यदनन्तरम् । स तच्छुत्वा तु संक़रुद्धः सर्ववक्षणणाधिप:
mānuṣeṇa kṛtaṃ karma vidhatsva yad anantaram | sa tac chrutvā tu saṅkruddhaḥ sarva-vakṣaṇaṇādhipaḥ ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「人の力で一つの業を成したのなら、いまはその後に為すべきことを整えよ。」その言葉を聞くや、万軍を統べる主は激怒した——ただの人間の行いが事の成り行きを定め得るかのような含み、そして次の一手を責任と結果の重みのもとに量れという含意が、彼の胸を刺したからである。
