Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain
विलासिनीभिरत्यर्थ नृत्यन्तीभि: समन्ततः । वायुना धूयमानाभि: पताकाभिरलंकृतम्,उस भवनमें सब ओर कितनी ही विलासिनी अप्सराएँ नृत्य कर रही थीं और हवासे फहराती हुई पताकाएँ उस भवनका अलंकार बनी हुई थीं
vilāsinībhir atyarthaṁ nṛtyantībhis samantataḥ | vāyunā dhūyamānābhis patākābhir alaṅkṛtam ||
ヴァイシャṃパーヤナは語った。館は四方において、艶やかなアプサラスたちが歓び勇んで舞い踊るさまにより飾られ、また風に揺すられてひるがえる旗幟がその装いとなっていた—目もくらむ輝きの図であり、この場を包む、心を惑わし感官を絡め取るような妖艶な気配を際立たせていた。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse primarily paints a scene of opulence and sensory charm; ethically, such imagery often functions in the Mahābhārata as a reminder that dazzling pleasures can captivate the mind and become obstacles to steadiness, restraint, and dharmic clarity.
Vaiśaṃpāyana describes a splendid mansion: dancers perform all around, and wind-tossed banners decorate the building, emphasizing a festive, alluring atmosphere.
