Kubera’s Fivefold Nīti and Protection of the Pāṇḍavas (वैश्रवणोपदेशः)

The verse highlights attentive observation of the natural world and the recognition of power expressed without malice—an implicit ethical contrast to human conflict, fitting the forest setting where endurance and restraint are cultivated.
The narrator describes a striking scene: gem-like, lotus-radiant elephants (as understood from the surrounding context) enter with their herd and churn the waters of a vast lake, making the lake’s beauty and dynamism vivid.
