Kubera’s Fivefold Nīti and Protection of the Pāṇḍavas (वैश्रवणोपदेशः)
क्षत्रधर्मेण धर्मज्ञ तीर्त्वा गां पालयिष्यसि । तत् तु राजा वचस्तेषां प्रतिगृह्य तपस्विनाम्,“धर्मज्ञ! तुम क्षत्रियरधर्मके अनुसार इस संकटसे पार होकर सारी पृथ्वीका पालन करोगे।” राजा युधिष्ठिरने उन तपस्वी ब्राह्मणोंका यह आशीर्वाद शिरोधार्य किया और वे परंतप नरेश उन ब्राह्मणों तथा भाइयोंके साथ वहाँसे प्रस्थित हुए। घटोत्कच आदि राक्षस भी उनकी सेवाके लिये पीछे-पीछे चले। राजा युधिष्ठिर महर्षि लोमशके द्वारा सर्वथा सुरक्षित थे
kṣatradharmeṇa dharmajña tīrtvā gāṃ pālayiṣyasi | tat tu rājā vacas teṣāṃ pratigṛhya tapasvinām ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「法を知る者よ、クシャトリヤの法に従ってこの危難を渡り切り、そののち大地を護るであろう。」ユディシュティラ王は苦行者たちの言葉を祝福として受け、敵を焼く王はそのブラーフマナの聖仙たちと兄弟とともにそこを発った。ガトートカチャら羅刹も奉仕のため後に従った。ユディシュティラは大聖ローマシャの導きのもと、ことごとく守られていた。
