vipravara! mahātmā lomaśajīnena asmān sarvān puṇya-sthānānāṃ kramaśaḥ darśanaṃ kāritam
The verse highlights the dharmic value of tīrtha-darśana (pilgrimage and sacred seeing) when undertaken in proper order under the guidance of a realized sage, emphasizing disciplined spiritual practice rather than random wandering.
Vaiśampāyana narrates that the sage Lomāśa has been conducting the group through a sequence of holy sites, indicating an ongoing pilgrimage episode within the Vana Parva.
