तेन वित्रासिता नागा: करेणुपरिवारिता: । तद्‌ वन॑ स परित्यज्य जम्मुरन्यन्महावनम्‌,भीमसेनकी उस गर्जनासे डरे हुए हाथी उस वनको छोड़कर हथिनियोंसे घिरे हुए दूसरे विशाल वनमें चले गये

tena vitrāsitā nāgāḥ kareṇu-parivāritāḥ | tad vanaṁ sa parityajya jagmur anyan mahāvanam ||

その咆哮に脅えた象たちは、雌象に囲まれながらその森を捨て、別の大森林へと移っていった。これは、正面の戦いがなくとも、ただ威力と威嚇だけでさえ巨なる獣を退かせ、土地の均衡を動かし得ることを物語っている。
