वायुदेव उवाच दुर्योधनस्य कर्णस्य शकुनेश्न दुरात्मन: । दुःशासनचतुर्थानां भूमि: पास्यति शोणितम्‌,श्रीकृष्णने कहा--राजाओ! जान पड़ता है, यह पृथ्वी दुर्योधन, कर्ण, दुरात्मा शकुनि और चौथे दुःशासन--इन सबके रक्तका पान करेगी

Transliteration

vāyudeva uvāca: duryodhanasya karṇasya śakuneś ca durātmanaḥ | duḥśāsana-caturthānāṃ bhūmiḥ pāsyati śoṇitam ||

Translation

風神ヴァーユデーヴァは言った。「この大地は、ドゥルヨーダナ、カルナ、邪心のシャクニ、そしてドゥフシャーサナを筆頭とする四人の兄弟の血を飲むであろう。」それは陰鬱な道徳的予告である。欺き、残虐、正しき者への辱めによってアダルマを支える者は、必ずや苛烈な報いに遭い、国土の地そのものがその罪の帰結を証言するのだ。
