Tapas (disciplined austerity) undertaken in a righteous spirit is portrayed as a force that can heal disorder and re-establish stability; the Earth’s ‘pleasure’ signifies moral-cosmic responsiveness to dharmic effort.
Lomaśa narrates that, due to the ascetic power of a certain figure, the Earth became pleased and re-emerged from the waters, manifesting as a vedi-like altar—an image linking cosmic renewal with sacrificial order.
