Description of Hiraṇyapura and the Nivātakavacas
अत्र गोव्रतिनो विप्रा: स्वाध्यायाम्नायकर्शिता: । त्यक्तप्राणा जितस्वर्गा निवसन्ति महर्षय:
atra govratino viprāḥ svādhyāyāmnāyakaṛśitāḥ | tyaktaprāṇā jitasvargā nivasanti maharṣayaḥ ||
ナーラダは言った。「ここには大リシたちが住む。彼らは『牛の誓戒』（ゴーヴラタ）を守るバラモンの聖仙であり、聖なる学統に則った不断の誦習と学修（スヴァーディヤーヤ）によって身をやつし、己が命すら顧みない。苦行（タパス）によって天界（スヴァルガ）到達をも征服し、ゆえにこの地に住まうのだ。」
