Kṛṣṇa’s Counsel to Dhṛtarāṣṭra in the Assembly
आसन सर्वतोभद्रं जाम्बूनदपरिष्कृतम् । कृष्णार्थे कल्पितं तत्र धृतराष्ट्रस्य शासनात्,राजा धृतराष्ट्रकी आज्ञासे वहाँ भगवान् श्रीकृष्णके लिये सुवर्णभूषित सर्वतोभद्र नामक सिंहासन रखा गया था
āsanaṁ sarvatobhadraṁ jāmbūnadapariṣkṛtam | kṛṣṇārthe kalpitaṁ tatra dhṛtarāṣṭrasya śāsanāt ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。ドリタラーシュトラ王の命により、精錬された黄金で飾られた「サルヴァトーバドラ（Sarvatobhadra）」と名づける玉座が、クリシュナのためにそこへ整えられていた。この場面は、迫り来る争いのただ中にあっても、尊ぶべき使者に対しては儀礼の栄誉を尽くすべきこと、そして外面の敬意と内心の思惑とが必ずしも一致しないことを示している。
