Arjuna’s Address to Krishna: Agency, Action, and Immediate Counsel
ahaṁ hi yantā bībhatsor bhavitā saṁyuge sati | dhanaṁjayasya eṣa kāmo na hi yuddhaṁ na kāmaye ||

Even a mighty warrior may willingly take a supportive role when it serves dharma and the collective cause; readiness for righteous action includes disciplined service and clarity that reluctance to needless violence is not the same as refusing necessary duty.
Bhīma speaks about the coming conflict and states that, once the battle begins, he will drive Arjuna’s chariot because Arjuna desires it; he cautions others not to interpret his position as an attempt to stop the war altogether.
