Arjuna’s Address to Krishna: Agency, Action, and Immediate Counsel
te ced abhinivekṣyante nābhyupaiṣyanti me vacaḥ | kuravo yuddham evātra ghoraṃ karma bhaviṣyati |
Obstinate refusal to accept reasonable, peace-seeking counsel turns conflict into an unavoidable and morally grave action; war is portrayed as a dreadful consequence rather than a virtue in itself.
Bhīma warns that if the Kauravas persist in their hardline stance and reject his conciliatory words, the situation will culminate in war, emphasizing the severity of that outcome.
