Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 69: Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Reverential Address to Sañjaya on Vāsudeva
satyāt satyaṃ tu govindas tasmāt satyo 'pi nāmataḥ |

Truth (satya) is presented not merely as a moral rule but as something grounded in the divine character of Govinda (Kṛṣṇa). Because he is established in truth and truth is established in him, he becomes the ultimate standard of trustworthiness and dharmic integrity.
Sañjaya, narrating events and character assessments in the Udyoga Parva context, praises Kṛṣṇa by identifying him with satya. The statement functions as an ethical endorsement of Kṛṣṇa’s counsel and reliability during the tense pre-war negotiations.
