पदातिसंघान् रथसंघान् समन्ताद् ह्यात्तानन: काल इवाततेषु: । प्रणोत्स्यामि ज्वलितैर्बाणवर्ष: शत्रूंस्तदा तप्स्यति मन्दबुद्धि:
sañjaya uvāca |
padātisaṅghān rathasaṅghān samantād hyāttānanaḥ kāla ivātateṣuḥ |
praṇotsyāmi jvalitair bāṇavarṣaiḥ śatrūṃs tadā tapsyati mandabuddhiḥ ||
サンジャヤは言った。「口を大きく開けて立つ時（死）そのもののごとく、我は四方へ燃え立つ矢の雨を浴びせ、敵軍の歩兵の群れと戦車兵の隊列を粉砕する。そのとき、愚鈍なるドゥルヨーダナは苦悶に灼かれる。」
