Sañjaya’s Envoy-Speech on Peace
अनाप्तवच्चाप्ततमस्य वाच: सुयोधनो विदुरस्यावमत्य । सुतस्य राजा धृतराष्ट्र: प्रियेषी सम्बुध्यमानो विशते5धर्ममेव,अपने पुत्र दुर्योधनका प्रिय चाहनेवाले राजा धृतराष्ट्र अपने सबसे अधिक विश्वासपात्र विदुरजीके वचनोंको अविश्वसनीय-से समझकर उनकी अवहेलना करके जान-बूझकर अधर्मके ही पथका आश्रय ले रहे हैं
anāptavaccāptatamasya vācaḥ suyodhano vidurasya avamatya | sutasya rājā dhṛtarāṣṭraḥ priyeṣī sambudhyamāno viśate 'dharmam eva ||
サञ्जयは言った。最も信頼すべき助言者ヴィドゥラの言葉を、まるで当てにならぬもののように見なして、スヨーダナは侮り退ける。しかも持国王ドリタラーシュトラは、子への執着に駆られ、正しいと知りながらアダルマの道へと踏み入ってゆく。
