ततः: समभवद् युद्ध मम तस्य च भारत । तुमुलं सर्वभूतानां लोमहर्षणमद्भुतम्,भारत! तदनन्तर मेरा और परशुरामजीका भयंकर युद्ध छिड़ गया, जो समस्त प्राणियोंके रोंगटे खड़े कर देनेवाला और अद्भुत था
tataḥ samabhavad yuddhaṁ mama tasya ca bhārata | tumulaṁ sarvabhūtānāṁ lomaharṣaṇam adbhutam, bhārata ||
そののち、ああバーラタよ、我と彼とのあいだに戦が起こった――轟きわたる、驚嘆すべき合戦であり、あらゆる生きとし生けるものの毛を逆立てた。
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights how clashes between great figures can become overwhelming for the world, reminding the listener that power and prowess must still be governed by dharma; even justified conflict carries a universal moral and emotional weight.
Bhīṣma narrates that a fierce, tumultuous battle broke out between himself and Paraśurāma, so extraordinary and terrifying that it stirred awe in all beings.
