Amba–Rama–Bhishma Dialogue on Vow and Refuge
तत्र त्वां निहतं माता मया शरशताचितम् | जाह्नवी पश्यतां भीष्म गृध्रकड़कबलाशनम्
tatra tvāṁ nihataṁ mātā mayā śaraśatācitam | jāhnavī paśyatāṁ bhīṣma gṛdhrakaṅkabalāśanam ||
「その地で、汝の母—ジャーフナヴィ（ガンガー）—は、我が手により汝が討たれるのを見るであろう、毗湿摩よ。汝の身は幾百の矢に貫かれ、禿鷲と鳶の餌食となる。」
