अम्बोवाच ममाप्येष सदा ब्रह्मन् हदि कामो$भिवर्तते । घातयेयं यदि रणे भीष्ममित्येव नित्यदा
ambovāca mamāpy eṣa sadā brahman hṛdi kāmo 'bhivartate | ghātayeyam yadi raṇe bhīṣmam ity eva nityadā ||
アンバーは言った。「婆羅門よ、私の胸にもこの願いが絶えず湧き上がる――戦場においてビーシュマの死を成就させたい、と。私は常にこの決意に固く定まっている。」
