The verse highlights the ethical tension of war: once a lawful command is issued, a disciplined force aligns its energy toward duty. It reflects kṣatriya ethos—readiness, unity, and morale—while implicitly reminding that such enthusiasm must be governed by rightful purpose and responsible leadership.
As preparations for battle-formation are ordered, the Pāṇḍavas’ troops respond with joy and loud cries, signaling heightened morale and immediate readiness for the coming engagement.
