व्यथयेयुरिमे देवान् सेन्द्रानपि समागमे । पाण्डवा वासुदेवश्च विराटद्रुपदौ तथा
Janamejaya uvāca:
vyathayeyur ime devān sendrān api samāgame |
pāṇḍavā vāsudevaś ca virāṭa-drupadau tathā, tapodhana |
ジャナメージャヤは言った。「大いなる苦行に富む仙よ。戦場に集いしとき、これら—パーンダヴァたち、ヴァースデーヴァ（クリシュナ）、さらにヴィラाटとドルパダ—は、インドラを首とする神々でさえ苦しめ得る。ゆえに、そこでクル族とパーンダヴァ族がなした一切を、余は詳らかに聞きたい。」
