ततस्ते पार्थिवा: सर्वे तच्छुत्वा राजशासनम्
tatas te pārthivāḥ sarve tac chrutvā rājaśāsanam | kāñcanāḍḍadadīptāṃś ca candanāgurubhūṣitān ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。ついで居並ぶ諸王は、ドゥルヨーダナ王の命を聞くや、怒りに満ちて高価な座から立ち上がった。鉄の棍棒のごとく太い腕には、白檀と沈香の香油が塗られ、黄金の腕輪がきらめく。彼らはそれをゆるやかに撫で、屈伸させ、王命のもと直ちに動く覚悟と、戦雲迫る重圧とを示した。
