आसन्नजलकाष्ठानि शतशो5थ सहस्रश: । अच्छेद्याहारमार्गाणि बन्धोच्छूयचितानि च
āsannajalakāṣṭhāni śataśo ’tha sahasraśaḥ | acchedyāhāramārgāṇi bandhocchūyacitāni ca ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「王よ、クルクシェートラの野に、必要に応じて広々とした陣営を幾百、いや幾千と設けよ。近くに水と薪を備え、敵が奪い取れぬように配置せよ。糧秣の補給路は、相手に断たれも壊されもせぬよう整え、しかるべき塁壁と防備で固めよ。」
