उद्योगपर्व (अध्याय १२९) — केशवस्य वैभवप्रदर्शनम् / Krishna’s Theophanic Display in the Kuru Assembly
निग्रहीतुं किलेच्छन्ति सहिता वासवानुजम् | इमं पुरुषशार्दूलमप्रधृष्यं दुरासदम्
nigrahītuṃ kilecchanti sahitā vāsavānujam | imaṃ puruṣaśārdūlam apradhṛṣyaṃ durāsadam
ヴァイシャṃパーヤナは言った。「彼らは一つに結束し、ヴァーサヴァの弟を拘束しようとしている――人中の虎たるこの者は、屈せず、近づくことすら難しい。」この句は、正しき強者に対して数の力で迫ることの道義的緊張を示し、かかる者を抑え込もうとする試みの重大さと帰結を暗に告げている。
